New Service: PolyInspecT
PolySpec Construction Services now allows facility owners to expect more from their flooring and decking systems through a new service called PolyInspecT. This innovative service involves an annual inspection of the deck coating system.
Each thorough annual inspection will be tailored to the facility owners activities and will produce the
following information:
- Identify and log visible defects or wear patterns on the deck surface.
- Identify and log any possible underlayment or adhesion issues through basic
tapping and visual inspection.
- Identify possible modes of future failure, i.e. water leaks, poor cleaning, abuse etc.
- Photo log all available spaces for visual review and future presentation.
- Confirm currently installed system meets IMO requirements. Document any
discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Meet with offshore rig management to discuss any issues, wants or needs.
- Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance class with catering management.
- Perform basic exterior walk around, looking for possible structural preservation
opportunities.
- Discuss operational preservation issues with management to flush out any
lingering unsolved coatings problems.
