Polyspec Construction Services, Inc. Performs IMO Upgrades On BP Marlin

PolySpec Construction Services recently upgraded 1045 SF of flooring on the BP Marlin. An IMO Approved, A-60 Fire Rated Deck Top Magnesite Insulation was also installed. The project included 375 SF of floor removal and repair in the galley and pantry and 670 SF of sanding and recoating in the dining room area.

Buffalo Marine Services Selects Polyspec Construction Services, Inc. for M/V San Austin Repairs

PolySpec Construction Services provided Buffalo Marine Services with a turnkey remediation solution to solve severe flooring issues aboard the M/V San Austin. The flooring throughout the galley, wheel house, cabins, office, bathrooms, passageways and stairs was removed and replaced.

Transocean Calls Upon Polyspec Construction, Inc. for More IMO Upgrades

After successfully completing flooring and living quarter upgrades on several Transocean rigs, PolySpec Construction Services, Inc. was again selected by Transocean to perform IMO decking repairs on the drillship Discoverer Spirit by upgrading a 4,500 SF area with an IMO approved underlayment and seamless, decorative flooring system.

Polyspec Construction Services, Inc. Replaces Entire Decking System for Fugro Explorer Offshore Drillship Accommodations Areas

Moisture intrusion from years of cleaning and maintenance had severely degraded the ship's vinyl flooring. PolySpec removed the existing substrate to bare metal and installed a completely moisture-tolerant, epoxy-based decking system. The entire accommodations area was rebuilt, including: all passageways, all interior stair wells, offices, the galley, and a recreational room.

PolySpec Construction Services, Inc. Introduces PolyInspecT
Houston TX - January 2010
PolySpec Construction Services now allows facility owners to expect more from their flooring and decking systems through a new service called PolyInspecT. This innovative service involves an annual inspection of the deck coating system. Each thorough annual inspection will be tailored to the facility owners activities and will produce the following information:

• Identify and log visible defects or wear patterns on the deck surface.
• Identify and log any possible underlayment or adhesion issues through basic tapping and visual inspection.
• Identify possible modes of future failure, i.e. water leaks, poor cleaning, abuse etc.
• Photo log all available spaces for visual review and future presentation.
• Confirm currently installed system meets IMO requirements. Document any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
• Meet with offshore rig management to discuss any issues, wants or needs.
• Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance class with catering management.
• Perform basic exterior walk around, looking for possible structural preservation opportunities.
• Discuss operational preservation issues with management to flush out any lingering unsolved coatings problems.
